In June this year Liberate I.T. Business Development Manager Olly Pritchard, will be taking part in the The Push-Up Challenge 2021 where he will be pumping out 3318 push-ups over 25 days!

This charity event is organised by a wonderful organisation called the “Push For Better Foundation”, and is Australia’s largest Mental Health and Fitness initiative. Each push-up represents the life of someone that tragically committed suicide in Australia due to mental health reasons in 2019.

We all know someone who has struggled when life has thrown some pretty rough challenges their way, and in doing so spiralled down a dark and desperate path that sometimes, in the worst of cases, leads to an inescapable end. Mental health is very much in the spotlight at the moment, with many people suffering, having been isolated from friends, family and loved ones due to numerous lockdowns around the world. This adds to the already dangerous way in which social media obsession can lead to dissatisfaction with oneself, particularly in the younger generation.

“Everyone should have access to help, and if in some small way my raising money can help someone get the support they need to feel better about themselves and have a positive impact on those around them, I will complete push-up challenges like this until the cows come home!”, says Olly.

Olly’s target started at only $500, but he has already beaten that and is now hoping to smash an even bigger target of $5,000!
